Rajasthan is voting today for Lok Sabha election 2019

Rajasthan is voting today for Lok Sabha election 2019

Half of Rajasthan is voting today for Loksabha election 2019. There are 25 Loksabha seats in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, half of these 25 have voted on April 29. 12 Loksabha constituencies are voting today to elect their Parliamentarians and in turn, their Prime Minister.

Symbol of Voting election
Symbol of Voting
BJP bagged all 25 seats in Rajasthan with a 100% strike rate defeating their nearest rival Congress in 2014 Loksabha poll. BHP has marginalized Congress party by limiting them to a zero. These 25 seats have played a big role in electing Narendra Modi as Indian Prime Minister.

Speaking of polling percentage 43% poll is recorded till 12.30 noon on average in Rajasthan today. There was a total turnout of 62% in 2014 Loksabha elections. We may hope a similar turnout this election.

Scorching heat, somehow, adversely affecting the voter turnout. However, large numbers of people come out of their homes in the morning to elect their parliamentarians. Naturally, the poll percentage will be less in the afternoon hours. It is expected that people left will come again to vote in the evening hours.

Triumphing victory of BJP in Rajasthan Assembly election 2013

BJP (Bharatiya Janata Pary) has registered triumphing victory in Rajasthan Assembly election 2013 in the leadership of Vasundhara Raje and Gulab Chand Kataria. BJP has almost wiped out Indian National Congress from the victory map in Rajasthan. BJP have won 162 seats out of 199 in 200 seats Assembly.

Congress has shown its worst ever performance to be marginalized to 21 seats only. Most of the cabinet ministers of Ashok Gehlot led Congress ministry have been defeated. Rajasthan has recorded massive turnout of the voters in the Assembly election 2013 held on December 1. However, Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister could retain his seat from Jodhpur.

The Congress party could not even open their account in 17 districts in Rajasthan. Ghanshyam Tiwari, Sanganer constituency, is the top most winner who defeated his nearest rival by more than 65000 votes. Pratap Singh Singhvi, Minister in Vasundhara Raje government (2003-2008) registered a margin of 62000 votes.

There was an under current against present congress government that broke like tsunami on the government. There was affect of Price hike, non governance of both central and state governments etc. Vasundhara Raje told that Narendra Modi effect has given the final blow.

Ticket in Jaipur for Jain candidates

Jain community contributes about 10 to 15 percent of Jaipur population. However, there is no representation of Jain community in Jaipur legislative constituencies. There are eight assembly seats in Jaipur and Jain community is demanding tickets from major political parties likes of BJP and Congress.

Jain community contributes a lot in social sectors including health and education. Large numbers of educational institutes likes of Subodh, SJ, Veer Balika, Acharya Bhikshu, Mahaveer and Digambar Jain are run by Jain communities. These institutes teach more than 50, 000 students both boys and girls from pre-school to Masters. There are several professional colleges and institutes are also run providing quality education in reasonable fees.

Mahavira Vikalanga Sahayta Samiti is the biggest artificial limb provider in the world. It is renowned for Jaipur foot. The organization helps by providing free limbs (Especially foot). Thousands of people from all over the world are being benefited from the institute for last four decades. Similarly Mahavira Cancer hospital is one of the best cancer hospital in India. Amar Jain hospital is also doing charitable services.

Jain community keeps themselves ahead in several other charitable services. However, political parties are ignoring this community while distributing  tickets in Jaipur. Jain community is now aware of their contributions and demanding tickets for Jain candidates in forthcoming Rajasthan assembly election 2013.

I believe that political parties will hear the united voice of Jain community and nominate Jain candidates for Jaipur assembly seats.

BJP much ahead in Assembly election according to survey

BJP is much ahead in Rajasthan Assembly election 2013 according to a recent survey. A TV news channel conducted a opinion poll recently in Assembly and Parliamentary constituencies in Rajasthan. According to the survey BJP could bag 97 seats in coming assembly election 2013. Indian National Congress is lagging far behind with 79 seats. Others could bag 24 seats.

If this opinion poll would be proven true, Congress will lose Rajasthan which they are ruling presently. BJP is very close to clear majority of 101 seats in 200 seat assembly. They are merely 4 seats short of clear majority. It is alarming for the ruling Congress party.

Ashok Gehlot has announced several schemes for different sects of the society to turn them into favor. However, price hike, corruption are the main issues before the voters. Conflict between Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister and CP Joshi, former Union minister is not unknown to the voters. Voters are also not happy with the Central Government. However, Suraj Sankalp Yatra of Bharatiya Janata Party has also played a vital role in converting general mood.

Both the parties are campaigning to mobilize voters. This survey will boost morale of BJP. This is alarming for the Congress and the party has to work hard to regain its popularity.

How can Dr Kirodi Lal Meena affect Rajasthan Assembly election 2013

How can Dr Kirodi Lal Meena affect Rajasthan Assembly election 2013? This is a vital question in coming election. Dr Kirodi Lal Meena is an eminent and most popular leader of Meena community who has large share in Rajasthan population. Dr Meena left BJP in last assembly election 2008 that had adversely affected BJP and help Indian National Congress to back in power. Later on Golma devi, wife of Dr Kirodilal was taken into Gehlot cabinet.

Dr Meena, however, was not satisfied with Congress party and chosen to constitute his own political party. He has not yet declared his support to any of the major political parties in Rajasthan. Both congress and Bharatiya Janata Party have eyes on Meena votes that can significantly effect poling results.

Dr Kirodi Lal Meena has declared to fight in 150 assembly constituencies out of 200 in Rajasthan. His independent presence will bring down few seats for both major political parties in the state.  It is assumed that his party can win five to ten seats and will significantly affect at least in twenty to twenty five seats.

Assembly election 2013 is crucial for both BJP and Congress as this will effect coming Loksabha election in 2014. Role of Kirodilal Meena will be crucial if any of these two major political parties do not get clear majority in 200 seats Rajasthan assembly. He would have bargaining power and probability of horse trading is not denied.

Both BJP and Congress parties are aware of the coming scenario and trying to counter this situation. JD(U), BSP and other smaller parties are also preparing their strategies to combat this. All these will effect significantly campaign program of all parties and even independent candidates.

Electronic media will play major role in this year campaign. Bulk SMS, website, social media promotion are attracting attention. People have eyes on young voters who will, as guessed, cast their votes irrespective of cast and creed division.
