Zila parishad and Panchayat samiti election in Rajasthan

 Panchayat election 2010 in Rajasthan has started on January 20.  Approximately sixty percent of rural voters from Rajasthan took part in poling for their candidates of Zila Parishad and Panchayat samiti despite cold weather.

BJP and Congress are main contenders in this Panchayat election. Some other small parties and independent candidates are also fighting in this election.

Panchayat election Rajasthan: 4329 nominations for Zila Parishad

  4329 candidates filed 5240 nominations for 1013 seats of Zila Parishad in Panchayat Election of Rajasthan. 4152 candidates filed 5105 nominations in the last Panchayat election. 22830 candidates filed nominations for 5723 seats of Panchayat Samiti.

Nomination letters to be  checked on Monday. 166 Zila Parishad candidates and 1219 Panchayat Samiti candidates are fighting election in Jaipur. However, real situation will get clear after withdrawals.

Nomination for Panchayat election

Few candidates have filed nomination today on January 8, 2010 for coming Panchayat election.

Rajasthan is all set for Panchayat election. Both Congress and BJP are ready to take each other hand to hand in this election.

Report has come that noimination are filed in Mahua and  Sikray in Dausa district, Udaipur Bati in Jhunjhunu district, Ajmer, Udaipur etc of Rajasthan.

Panchayat election process in Rajasthan is on. Gazette notification of  upcoming Panchayat election will be issued today, January 7, 2010.
Both BJP and Congress have already started process of finding and finalizing candidates for this Panchayat election.

Rajasthan Election: Jaipur Election 

 Many millionaire candidates (Crorepati) are contesting Jaipur Corporation Election. There are ten candidates of Congress who have declared their assets over Rs. 1 Crore. BJP trails the list with only five candidates over Rs. 1 Crore. There are two independent candidates with declared properties of over Rs. 1 crore.

  However, there are candidates who have almost nothing. Eight candidates have declared their assets between Six thousands to Forty thousands, Five from BJP and Three from Congress respectively.
